I was driving to work this morning, minding my own business, not worrying about anything; actually I was zoned out in autopilot drinking my Cinnamon Dulce Latte with soy, no whip. I saw some cows on the side of the road and thought \u201cthey have it easy, no cares or worries, their master provides everything\u201d. I saw them walking around carefree, not anxious about their lives or what tomorrow might bring.<\/p>\n
Then God reminded me about Matthew 6:25-34, and like the cows we should \u201cnot be anxious about tomorrow\u201d, when you give everything to Christ, there is freedom & peace to live knowing He\u2019s got it. We often only refer to verse 33<\/strong> \u201cSeek ye first the kingdom\u2026<\/em>\u201c, but the whole chapter is awesome. Christ is asking us to have faith in Him, to\u00a0 let go and give everything to God; if we trust in Him, He will keep us in everything.<\/p>\n A friend of mine jokingly reminded me that \u201cBut what the cow doesn\u2019t know is that any day they could be sold, put on the truck, and slaughtered. I don\u2019t think they would be so blissful if they possessed that little tid bit of info!<\/em>\u201d I laughed and thought back to Abraham who completely put his faith and trust in God, even when he didn\u2019t understand the method and that it meant he would have to sacrifice his only son.<\/p>\n In our walk with Christ, this is what He is always trying to teach us trust, faith and letting go so that He can be God.\u00a0 We often get caught up worrying about our sacrifice, unwilling to let go, but even the cow who is slaughtered provides food, clothing, tools and more. When God\u2019s got it, even through sacrifice there is life, there is peace, there is love, there is joy and there is hope.
